Took the ACT in June with a fever of 101, so I'm not even going to post the scores
Planning on physics tests, calc, literature and maybe Psych tests senior year
Planning on taking the Math II (with more prep) and Chemistry Exam in October and retaking SAT and ACT in November/September (respectively)</p>

<p>EC's:
Big one (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior)- Co-Web Admin for past 2 years...developed and maintain my school site constantly, leader in development and stuff (is this a leadership position?), and this year I will be manager of my school's website redesign and reconstruction. I also created my school's lacrosse site, and I worked on a few commercial applications.
Math Team (Junior, Senior?)- Participated in the ARML test and the UMD test...got my ranks back (not very good at all). I may or may not do this first quarter of senior year.
FBLA (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior)- Reached state level for word processing and database design and applications
Table Tennis Club (Last 3 years)
School Tech Team Member (Last 3 years, Senior Year) - participated in American Computer Science League AllStars for two years, and several regional programming competitions. I was captain of the 5-Man Intermediate Team this year (leadership?).
Judo (Until Junior Year) - progressed through orange belt, skipped a total of two belts
National Honor Society (this year and senior)
SGA member (this year) - fluff, nothing really there
Track Team (this year) - spring track, sprinter (I was really bad, but I stayed throughout the entire regular season)
I'm doing Cross Country now. I'm not absolutely worthless as I was in track, but I'm certainly no varsity superstar. </p>

<p>Skills:
I have several skills including fluency in 5-10 programming/scripting/markup languages (depending on what you consider is in those categories)
Extensive work with databases online and offline</p>

<p>Community Service:
I have at least 30 hours, and I'll try to get more soon.</p>

<p>This summer mostly consisted of me relaxing and doing cross-country along with studying for SAT II's and learning some stuff in coding.</p>

<p>Awards:
School AP Scholar
Regional Awards for FBLA
Scholar Athlete </p>

<p>I'm looking to apply to a bunch of different schools. I'm planning on early application for CMU:SCS and MIT. What are my chances for CMU:SCS and CTI, UMichigan Engineering, Cornell, Illinois Urbana (if that's the Engineering School?), Penn State Engineering, MIT (not to hopeful on that front), RPI, and Rose-Hullman? Also, would College Park be an alright Safety School? Also, can people tell me any other good options?</p>

<p>As stated before, I'm planning to prep a little harder for the SAT so that I can get a 750+ on math. I'm also going to do a bit of studying for the ACT before I get my early apps submitted.</p>

<p>Thanks for any help.</p>

<p>Both CMU and MIT will be reaches unless you can raise your SAT score.</p>

<p>So what scores should I be looking for to get into CMU? It’s going to be hard to get my math above 750 but I think I can do it. As for my writing, I really cannot find a way to get it above 700. Will this be a problem for me?</p>

<p>Oh, and also, I don’t know how high I can really get my chem score. What kind of scores do I need on the regular SAT + Chem SAT to make CMU a match? And currently, if they are reaches, how huge of reach schools are they? Are they really slim chances or more around 50/50?</p>

<p>CMU SAT scores: [Admission</a> > Admission Statistics](<a href=“Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University”>Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University)</p>

<p>Thank you for the chart. Is that a median or an absolute range (as in they don’t admit anyone under 720-800 to SCS)? Also, I was wondering whether CMU looks on Early Decision I and II differently? If I do EDI, I can only submit my Chem/Math II scores/ACT scores and just one other retake of the SAT. If I do EDII, I can retry my SAT twice as well as do my SAT IIs.</p>

<p>It’s the middle 50%.</p>

<p>I would also like to know how eligible I am for Berkley. I heard they don’t consider SAT scores as much as East Coast schools, but they’re a little hard on out-of-state admissions.</p>

<p>Can anyone give me any info on Berkley? I heard their median SAT score is a 2050, so wouldn’t that make me more eligible?</p>

<p>MIT is definitely a reach with SAT scores. Others you have mid reaches-CMU/berkley/cornell.
i dunno much abt the others. ive heard of rpi(i got a medal-60k scholarship) but i dont think im applying there. normal michigan should be easy for you but idk how hard engineering is. i only know abt ross there</p>
