Chance for Cornell CAS transfer

Dear CCers,

I am an international student currently studying at a top school (domestically) in a foreign country. I am interested in Cornell and am trying to figure out what kind of chances I am looking at if I were to attempt transferring.

These are my stats:

College GPA: 4.0 / 4.0
HS GPA: 35 - 37 in IB out of 45 (top of class though - not the best HS for IB)
TOEFL score: 110+ / 120
SAT / ACT: none
Misc: Summer program at US university, studied languages abroad, worked with teaching children and adults English in East Asia, lived abroad in East Asia during summers and winters during HS - it is this living in East Asia experience which has been significant from my HS years onwards that I hope would work as some kind of hook seeing as I would express my desire to pursue the Asian Studies major at Cornell.

If we assume the rest - recs and essays - are strong, do I have a chance? Any thoughts would be appreciated tremendously!

I think you have really good chances your stats are really great, I’ve seen someone who applied to Asian Studies on here and had around the same GPA and got in. The essays and recs make the most difference from what I read.

Thank you! Any other thoughts?
