I am currently a junior and am planning on applying ED to either Cornell's Agriculture and Life Sciences, or Columbia University. (I will decide which one I plan to ED during the summer when I visit these schools.)
What are my chances of getting into Cornell CALES?
I have a 91.5 average, and have 2070 SAT, a 1430 M+CR. I will retake in October, along with the ACT. (I am expecting a 31 or higher on the ACT.)
I recently took two SAT 2s, U.S History and Math 2, have not gotten my scores back yet.
I am currently in 2 honors classes (math and journalism) and 2 AP classes (Environmental Science and U.S History.) I am also in a research class, where I am expected to do my own research paper and submit it to the intel competition. (I have a mentor for this, and he is a professor at a college.)
Next year I am taking 4 AP classes along with other regular classes.
I am in Cross Country (3 years), Fencing (3 years), Key Club (4 years), Robotics (2 years), and a writers club, which I founded, as the treasurer.
Outside of this, I have done approximately 50 hours of community service at my local library, have helped someone build a model of his soon-to-be patented solar still design, interned at the botanical garden, volunteered at a local sustainable environment organization and community garden, and interned in a congress woman's campaign.
This is all that I can think of right now.
What would you say my chances are for Cornell ED?
Thank you.
