Universities I am hoping for:
Harvard
Stanford
Yale
Princeton
Columbia
Oxbridge
LSE

Major: Economics and/or psychology

Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Columbia - Reach

You have near perfect stats, and great ECs, so you have a relatively good chance, but these universities reject people like you (and better than you) every year, so be on the safe side and apply to a few matches and safeties.

Bump!!!

At a certain point you wonder if they just throw up the applications and the first to hit the ground is admitted. Your stats are great (although you won’t be able to use those Ecs from 8th grade and below) so you just have to hope for the best and apply to a few school where you KNOW you’ll get in.

Harvard: Low Reach
Stanford: Low Reach
Yale: Low Reach
Princeton: High Match
Columbia: High Match
Oxbridge: Low Reach

Your stats are amazing, but you’re applying to schools which are incredibly difficult to get into. Also, you can’t use any EC’s before 9th grade, so you might want to adjust that.

Chance me back:

Thanks for answering! BUMP

Bumppppppp

Remember, you can only post 10 activities on the common application. Colleges won’t see all of your activities.

HYP, Stanford, etc.: Reach

What do you mean 10 actions?

The Common Application, which is used by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and Columbia, only allows you to add 10 extra curricular activities. That’s it. So make sure you pick them right. There’s no other way to apply to those schools other than through the Common Application.

http://www.commonapp.org

Thanks (bump)

Just to add this, your extra curriculars aren’t THAT impressive. Just keep that in mind when you apply. I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m just saying what is realistic. You have 2-3 impressive ones, but most of them are before 9th grade (like MUN and JMUN in NY, they won’t count). Plus, doing things as a “hobby” (such as teaching yourself economics or swimming) do not count as ECs. Only a few your activities show commitment. Most of them are 1 time events, and colleges don’t like this. Saying you won a bunch of minor awards will not impress HYPS schools.

Oh. BTW why doesnt anyone say anything about Oxbridge and LSE?
