<p>I'm a currently a junior but I think I'm starting to really think about where I want to apply.</p>

<p>Race: Middle-Eastern (Kurdish) - I'm a persecuted minority in my own country? That's gotta get me some points
Gender: Female
I go to a International School (Private school - very small, 250+ students)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.23</p>

<p>All IB Clases:
(IB Diploma Candidate)</p>

<p>Not going to list 9th and 10th grade classes</p>

<p>SAT Score: 2200 (750 CR; 700 M; 750 W)
ACT: haven't taken it yet</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<ul>
<li>Active member of the United Way Board of Directors - youth intern (9th-11th), have organized fundraiser around my school for it ($1000+), participated in important board decisions</li>
<li>MUN (9th-11th) - Best Delegate Award</li>
<li>Timmy Club (9th-11th) - community and service club that raises money for kids in South America - I'm one of the leaders of the club; help to arrange most of the events, very active</li>
<li>Technical Director of Crew for 2 musicals and 1 play (9th-10th grade)</li>
<li>VEX Robotics Club (10th -11th) - co-president; we won city championships last year and went to the world competitions (where we got creamed by New Zealand?)</li>
<li>WorldQuest Club (10th-11th) - memorize facts about countries/current events and spew them out on a test; we got second place last year</li>
<li>Going to start a Math Club this year - president</li>
<li>GSA Club (10th -11th grade)</li>
<li>Volunteered and raised money for TEDxIndianapolis and TEDxYouth ($5,000), helped with decision making</li>
<li>Worked in a neurology lab this summer that specializes in panic disorder, and I will work there again this summer. Next year, I will submit my paper to Siemens. The paper we published is going to be in Nature Medicine, I will be listed in the acknowledgements (yesss!).</li>
<li>I've done a lot of selective summer programs: Nanotechnology Camp at IUPUI, GERI (Gifted Education Resource Institute) Camp at Purdue, EDGE Camp at Purdue (Girls Engineering Camp)</li>
<li>School on Wheels - (10th) Tutoring homeless children</li>
<li>I have over 1,200 hours of community service (for real)</li>
</ul>

<p>Awards (excluding the ones I mentioned above) --> kinda lacking in this year, I'm entering a math competition and Siemens this year, so that might help:</p>

<li> Indiana Federation of Music Club Junior Festival 2012 – Regionals for Piano: Superior (Playing Test), Superior (Theory Test)</li>
<li> Invited to Indiana State Honors Recital 2012 for Piano</li>
<li> Community and Service Award – 9th grade</li>
<li> High Honor Roll and High Honor Board 9th – 10th grade (each semester)</li>
</ul>

<p>I also skipped 8th grade? Does that help in any way?</p>

<p>And I'm fluent in 4 languages (French, Spanish, English, Turkish) </p>

<p>This is one of the silliest assessments I’ve seen in the 7 years I’ve been reading this forum.</p>

<p>Williams, Brown, Harvard and Yale are reaches for <em>anybody</em>. These are schools that routinely reject applicants with 2400s and you’re telling this kid with a 2200 that she’s a match?</p>

<p>Please.</p>

<p>He’s the real answer:
Williams, Brown, Harvard and Yale: Reach for you and anybody else. Meaning you have less than a 10% chance of acceptance.
Cornell, Berkeley, Penn, JHU: Reach, but possible. Meaning you probably have a 25% chance of acceptance or less.
NYU: Likely. Meaning you have about slightly greater than a 50% chance.
Purdue, NE: Safety</p>

<p>IMO Soze is spot on. But I think you have a higher chance at NYU, maybe 60-75%. </p>
