Thank you for your time!

Oh, I forgot!

SAT II Bio: 780
SAT II Chem: 800
SAT II Physics: 800
SAT II Math IIC: 800
SAT II Literature: 790

You just need 3 sat subject test scores.I suggest picking the subjects that will relate to your major you want to study for 1 day.Just submit Bio,chem and physics is what I suggest.Plus colleges dont care what high school you came from.So cut out the fact your school was top 30 in nation.Because every year there is different competitors and changes in ranking. They only care about your ranking in school and will make a observation of how competitive your school is from it. ALSO DO NOT SUBMIT THAT 3 in mechanics to ivy league schools. They only accept 4 and 5 .On top OF ALL THAT.Your clubs, internships, volunteer, and sports are all in the category of extracurricular activity . Unless they are separate into categories like that, place them all in the extracurricular activity section of your college application.

bump10char

USC schools look good - others obviously competitive but great job with your grades and academia performance!

You can easily get into every school you mentioned.

Will ethnicity play a huge role in admissions?

I think your stats are OK. You’re a reach for all the top tier schools. It’s a good thing you have UCSD and USC as a safety school. I have to be honest, you’ll probably look the same as the majority of applicants under consideration at the HYPSM schools

How did you come up with the high school rank? I disagree with lillemonred who says that colleges don’t care which high school you attended. That’s actually furthest from the truth. If a high school has a track record of sending a high number of successful freshman to top tier universities, that definitely is important because it indicates the high school curriculum is rigorous enough. Anyways, all top tier schools have admission officers who are assigned to various parts of the country so they have a good idea which high schools are good or not.

Good Luck

@grumpytrader: How do you suppose I stand a chance then? I’m slightly confused in the process… ;)

I think it just comes down to your essays. Work very hard on them and I think you have decent chance.

Never said you didn’t stand a chance. Just said that you are in a very competitive situation. Most of the applicants that have a legitimate chance to get accepted will have similar profiles

HYPSM: Reach Nothing impressive
Northwestern: Low Reach to solid chances
Duke: Reach
Johns Hopkins: Low reach Solid chances
Cornell: Solid chances
Brown: Reach
UCB: Almost Safety
UCLA: Almost safety

Do you best then pray!

"Will ethnicity play a huge role in admissions? "

YES!!!

UCSD , UCSB, and USC you will definitely get into. Everything else is a toss up even though your stats are really good.

You have a very strong resume. You have as good of a chance as anyone at most of these schools. The research is very impressive.

HYPSM- reach
Northwestern- low reach
Duke- low reach
Johns Hopkins- low reach
Cornell- low reach
Brown- low reach
UCB- low match
UCLA- low match
UCSD- low match
USC- low match

Wow you’ve got an impressive profile. Your ECs aren’t exactly the most unique, but they get the job done to make you a competitive applicant.

HYPSM: Reach
Northwestern: High match/Low reach
Duke: Low reach
Johns Hopkins: Low reach
Cornell: High match/Low reach
Brown: Reach
UCB: High match
UCLA: High match
UCSD: Low match
USC: Low match
