PS. How good is the Financial Aid here?

Free money (grant aid and scholarships) from UW-Madison for white, male, middle class nonresidents with your stats is virtually nonexistent.

If your parents’ Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for 2011 is less than $80,000 then you will most likely receive the Madison Initiative Hold Harmless Grant (must file a FAFSA) which waives the $3,000 tuition surcharge.

Are you a first generation college student, low income, and/or an underrepresented minority?

Proposed major doesn’t mattter- you get accepted to the university as a whole. UW only uses the unweighted gpa (our school district doesn’t weight grades either). Do not count on any merit aid from UW, need based only is most common. Get the best grades (as always) that you can again this semester.
