Case Western, in Cleveland, has a very well regarded Cog Sci major.
In the discussion of UCs, I don’t believe UC Davis has been mentioned explicitly. Based on apparent program strength in cognitive science, this seems like a school that should place highly among your potential UC choices.
My oldest studied Cognitive Science at Davis. They offer three concentrations - a BA with a psychology emphasis, a BS with a neuro emphasis and a BS with a computational (CS/AI) emphasis. It has been a couple of years, but there was no barrier to enrolling in CS classes, especially if the course was a requirement for the major.
I heard the same! UC Davis definitely one of my favorites since they offer the computational emphasis.
