College admissions are literally killing me and I am coping

Donā€™t you get auto-admit into UT Austin because of Top 7% thing?

Itā€™s only top 6% now

U of Arizona fits your needs.

Youā€™d get $20k off on auto scholarship and depending on the study, itā€™s a top 5-20 Physics schools. So itā€™ll be solid for all three majors, but especially 2 and 3.

Youā€™d be a tad over budget all in.

Do you have a test score ? If so what is it ?

UH, Texas Tech are both fine.

If you had a test score, youā€™d have more options at $30k - depending on the score.

You are auto for TAMU. So thatā€™s 100%. Note that TAMU has ETAM year before you can get Comp Science.

You should have no problem getting UH and UTD. Even with some scholarship.

Those reaches are really reaches.

Top 6%, but that does not mean automatic admission to more competitive majors like computer science or any engineering major. OP is top 6.7%, so not automatic admission.

Physics is typically a less competitive major, but check each school to be sure.

My boys are CS at UTD and very happy there. Their Physics department is small but very impressive. I hope you can visit in person, youā€™ll likely get merit money (AES) at UTD.
