I am a senior who has applied to University of Pittsburgh, Northeastern, Drexel, Temple and UNC-CH (all EA but pitt has rolling admission.
I am an asian female from North Carolina but I go to a competitive high school... like very very competitive (we have the highest average SAT school in NC). I'm top 50% in my class. I haven't heard back from any of my schools except temple and i got in! and got the founders scholarship.
Pitt sent me a letter wanting my senior grades which are mediocre... like a c and maybe even a d..not good.
Is there any chance for me or should i stop hoping? Also are there any other schools that maybe fit my criteria?
Also I sent letters of recommendation and essays to pitt which aren't necessary but i did.

<p>Those grades are going to be major red flags for Pitt, especially your senior grades that Pitt asked for. </p>
<p>Your SATs should be good enough.</p>
<p>You have some good hooks going for you in that you are from a state that doesn’t already send a ton of students coming from it to Pitt. It is good you sent in the essay and letters of rec.</p>
<p>It’s hard to know. You are sort of borderline for Pitt with those grades to be honest.</p>
