Hey guys, I am from Pakistan and was wondering you people could chance me for T20’s and ED2 to NYU-Abu Dhabi.

Stats:

ACT: 33

No gpa system in British curriculum/OA levels but I have near-perfect grades in my O and As levels.

7A* and 2A in olevels

4A’s in As level

SAT CHEMISTRY: 760

Lors: really good lors (read them;) as I gave my teachers an in-depth activities sheet and helped them

Essays are ok too and I know they wont be the reason I get rejected.

Though I have stem subjects, my ec’s are heavily related to humanities.

Won journalism tournament at national level

Journalism club president.

founded an esports club in school which has now sent players to play internationally and have won too.

did lots of community service to teach underprivileged kids and connected it to my own inaccessibility to education due to low-income.

School student council head for 2 years

So these are my ec highlights

PS: I need at least a full-ride to attend any school cuz no money here so that’s a big downside.

Your A level marks are what they will pay most attention to. Looks like you’ve got great marks, so that is a good thing. The ACT score is also good, and won’t hold you back.

The main thing is the financial aid. Almost all of the US colleges are struggling with finances due to COVID. There are only a handful of US schools that are need blind with regards to internationals. The rest are need aware. Which means they take into consideration your financial need when deciding to accept you or not. You might get acceptances into some top 20s, but without enough financial aid. What is your backup plan in case you don’t get in anywhere?

i dnt have much of any backups abroad at least. I will try out my luck with turkish unis and their bursalari scholarships other than that i can only apply in my country which i don’t wanna do and might end up with a gap year
