Chance me and I'll chance you back!

Thank you. Can anyone else chance me as well? I’ll chance back.

Chance me for a chance please.
Also, do you guys think it’s harder to get in this year?

You look like a competitive applicant in terms of your grades. As others have said, it would help you to raise your SAT CR score. Other than that, I think you are right on track for your target schools. Good luck!

Chance back:

I just chanced you right now Iamonahunt. Thank you for your chancing.

I think you have a decent chance of getting in, but you CR score will definitely be pulling your overall app down. I can’t tell if your ECs are strong or not, but I would make sure that your essays are perfect so that they can offset you SAT a bit.

Do you guys think it’ll be easier to get in this year? I’m EXTREMELY nervous that I’m shaking a bit right now…
Also, do I have a good chance at this school? My guidance counselor said that I do, but I can’t tell for sure. A lot of you guys told me that I do have a good chance, so i’ll take your words on it. :</p>

Please help. I really hope that I get in. :(

Can anyone please help? I’m pretty nervous about this, haha. I’ll chance anyone back if needed.

I think that your chances are helped by the fact that your gpa has been increasing over the years. Also, I think it would help a lot if your essays are strong and make it clear that you are a good fit for their school in particular and not just a good student in general. If possible, I would try to retake SATs or try ACT, but if you don’t then I wouldn’t worry about it because you can make up for it in other areas like your essays. I know someone who got into Northeastern and had low SAT scores (she wouldn’t say how low), but she was a great writer and made it clear in her application that Northeastern was her first choice and I think that really helped her.

I talked about something very unique and detrimental to my life. I talked about how I was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome at an early age and how it affected me and how after I overcame it, I became a whole new different person with a different perspective. My teachers/guidance counselors said that it was very good and solid. This might really help me also because colleges will see that even though I had such a disease, I worked hard and became the person who I am today. Do you think this will help me a lot? I also got an $18,000 scholarship from Drexel University, which is the amount of money given to people with 2000+ on the SAT. Maybe my other factors helped me. But anyways, do you think I have a good chance at this school?

That sounds like a great essay! I think the school (I’m kind of just replying about Northeastern because I’m more familiar with it) sounds like a match. If the amount of interest you show in going there on this site is apparent in your application then I think you should be accepted.

@me2012

Hmm… Even though I already handed in my application, I don’t know what you mean by showing interest in my application. What do you mean by that?

Oh sorry, I didn’t realize you already sent them in. I don’t know how much sense I’m about to make, but I was talking about including something that shows that if you got into the school it would be your top choice… schools like to have high matriculation rates and want to see that they’re not just one of like twelve schools you’re applying to. Umm an example of what I mean is that when my older brother applied to college, he wanted to major in nuclear science and when he was applying to MIT he talked about specific research equipment and undergrad research opportunities that no other college had and made it clear that it was his first choice.

Chance me back?

If I had to guess, you’ll be in at both, and I’d bet money on you getting into at least one of the two. The only thing I see potentially holding you back is the CR section (510 is significantly lower than the 700 or 630), but otherwise I think you’re a solid applicant and you should be ok for them–especially if you applied EA to both.
