chance me please?

Claremont McKenna and NYU? Stanford and Boston College? Cornell and USC? Your selection of schools is extremely varried. I cannot imagine a person who would love it at CMC and at NYU.

NYU (assuming you are applying to the CAS) is pretty much in the bag. BC, Marshall and Tepper are matches. The other schools are reaches.

Alexandre, if he’s going to be studying business at NYU, that’s going to be at Stern. Stern is a lot tougher to get into, and I’d say that’s definitely a reach for you (it is for most students).

But to the OP, like Alexandre said, Marshall and Tepper are targets, but the rest are reaches. I’d probably think about having more targets.

I agree GamBino, Stern is a reach.

Oh, and a target you may want to consider would be Goizueta at Emory, another very strong program for Business, slightly better than Marshall, but still should be a target for you.

I see you’re not getting much concrete so far, so I’ll give it a whack:

USC marshall: 70%
Carnegie Melon Tepper: 80%
stanford: 20%
upenn wharton: 25%
claremont mckenna: 60%
NYU: 80%
boston college: 70%
cornell (CALS): 60%

I’m still not clear whether most of these schools put much weight on the W part of the SAT. I’m inclined to think they write 1550 into the SAT box, which as you know is top one quarter of one percent.

Contrary to the poster above, your list makes sense to me in that your interest is primarlly business.

i’m aplying to nyu stern.
is stern that much harder to get into?
should i applyto a different school ?
is it hard to transfer ?

do i have a pretty good shot at marshall? or is it just kind of …

Stern is fairly difficult for you to get into, it is a reach for most students. It is significantly harder to get into Stern than CAS at NYU, but it is even more difficult to transfer, so if you do not get into Stern one the first try, I wouldn’t recommend transferring.

Transfer rates for Stern is among one of the lowest in the country. You have a fairly good shot at Marshall. And no offense, but I think DunninLA’s percentages are a bit too optimistic for my tastes. Stern is definitely harder to get into than Marshal (and I don’t want to assign a number), while Wharton is at least on par, if not more selective, than Stanford.

Stern is significantly tougher to get into than NUY CAS. And trasfering from CAS to Stern is also difficult.
