I will be applying to the CSOM for BC.

GPA: 3.817

Subject Tests: 650 Lit , 700 Math 1 (Probably will just submit ACT and the math I)
Took all honors/ Ap's with the exception of math. I took 1 Ap class Junior year (All that was offered) and will be taking three next year (Out of a possible four)
AP's: APUSH, AP Literature, AP Statistics, AP Government

Awards/ Hooks:
-Chapel speech of the year award (All the students in my grade give a speech in front of the rest of the grade and mine was elected best. At first I didn't think much of it but my friends say it shows colleges you are a good writer/ public speaker)
-Villanova Book Award
-My Dad went to BC and donates each year. (Not a substantial amount but it's better than nothing)
-Will be paying full tuition (Not sure if this even helps)
- Top quartile of my class which means im in the top 20% (School doesn't rank but usually the top quartile gets into come great colleges)
-Come from a small competitive Catholic high school
-Our school has good connections with BC/ND/ VU because we have sent so many students there. It's not a huge boost but it can give you a slight advantage
-I'm from Boston (does that help for BC? )

I've played AAU basketball since 9th grade when it wasn't basketball season at my school
I've been part of various Charity events but haven't logged hours

Other things to add:

-I know the absence of honors math really hurts, but I'm hoping my half descent subject test score can partially compensate for that as well as the fact that I'm taking two math classes next year
-I won't be taking a science next year because I don't like it/ I'm not very good at it even though I know some colleges don't like that
-When I asked my guidance counselor my chances for these schools he said:

BC- Likely (At least 70%)
Villanova-Likely
Notre Dame: Possible (About 50%)
Wake Forest: Possible
Cornell: Reach (No more than 35%)

The percents are how he defined his word choice.

I would disagree with your counselor. BC and ND I think would probably be reaches. I know ND only considers the CR+M segments of the SAT and for the most recently admitted class, the middle 50% was 1360-1500. Your ACT, while better, is still below the middle 50% at ND (32-34). Your legacy status at BC will probably help, but I don’t know if it would be enough to overcome so-so test scores. I could be wrong and am basing this solely on what I saw in this year’s admission cycle. (D applied to both ND and 'Nova and was accepted at both, but I know plenty of very well qualified kids who were denied at those two as well as BC.)

Me too, I would disagree with your GC…

BC: Match
ND: Reach
WF: Low match/Match
Cornell: Reach
Villanova: Low match/Match

migh look at Holy Cross.

Yeah I was honestly skeptical when he gave me those numbers too. The reason he had them so high though was because of the success our school has had with some of these colleges. For example about 50% of our students are accepted into BC that apply (exactly 50/100 in last 4 years which is when we started keeping track of which students got into which schools) and the average gpa was a 3.75 with a 2000/29 score. One kids this year even got denied from the CSOM so the admitted him into the liberal arts school instead because they respect our school so much. For VU over 50% have been accepted and the average stats were 3.65 gpa with 2000/29 score. ND about 35-40% have been accepted with an average 3.9 gpa and 2100/31. WFU has the exact same stats as BC but Cornell is much more difficult to get into from our school with the average student being accepted having a 95 and 2150/32
