<p>I will most likely be a National Merit Finalist in the fall</p>

<p>*i know that my EC's are a little weak, but thats b/c im so focused on basketball. my school is really good in bball. this year we had one player going to ASU, another Army, we were in state championship last year, and U of A comes to our open gyms to scout us. unfortunately, im not sure if colleges will know how good my HS team is and i dont think many people know how much a commitment basketball is (countless hours shooting, lifting, conditioning, playing, etc). any ideas on how to improve my EC's? Thanks for your input!</p>

<p>everything looks great bud. You have a great chance to get in, but make sure to take time on your essay. </p>

<p>great shot but i was 2 captain athlete w/ 33 and didn't get in RD... ND is getting ridiculous... SHOW INTEREST! start calling ASAP even if you have to make up questions to ask... call and email and get your name out there if u really want ND--i really think that's wat got me off the waitlist</p>

<p>I got into ND with a 1410 SAT, 13/250 in my class, and no sports to my name (no legacy). Notre Dame is a school that highly values the entire package. Write a strong essay, recommendations are soooo important, and showing interest is what I think got me in. Get in touch with your admissions rep to get your name out there. You have the stats, but make sure you follow through. Good luck!!!</p>

<p>ha! As though there were an "in for sure." I would say as good a chance as anyone, but still just a chance.</p>

<p>chances threads are irrelevant, just because perfect students get denied every year. What we can't see in a chances thread are essays and other intangibles that cant be relayed via message board.</p>

<p>But, from what you have shown I would be very surprised if you were rejected. I also thought Jvon would get in right away, but I was wrong on that.</p>

<p>Ya... your stats are similar to mine, and I got in. If your only taking 4 AP's though that may hurt you, (I took 7) but that depends on the school you attend i suppose*. I think your grades are better though, but again hard to say because of differences between schools. But who knows, anything can happen, I didn't get into UVA but got into Notre Dame, while my friend got into UVA and not Notre Dame.</p>

<p>*Haha I forgot you were junior and therefore will be taking more AP's, if you take 4 more I'd say your chances are excellent.</p>
