That’s fair enough, but you could easily make the same argument for schools with a strong overall strength. There’s a reason their reputations are regarded so highly, regardless of one’s intended field of study, and it has nothing to do with belonging to a sports league.
@aLlsUn I don’t think the MIT tennis coach would have any real pull with their admissions process, but I could be wrong. Also, unless you were top of your state or nationally ranked, same would go for the other programs.
@aoeuidhtns it is not too hard to be a top tennis player in the state of WV. There is one that is ranked extremely high nationally and then there is a major drop in the level of the players.
