Chance me at Tufts ED 2?

Hi, I am a full IB Diploma student at an international school.

HL Global Politics
HL History
HL Biology
SL Math Studies
SL Language and Literature
SL Spanish

My UW GPA is around a 3.3
My ACT Score is a 33 (33 English, 28 Math, 36 Reading, 33 Science)

EC:

  • I am the co-founder of a club which has created a global network of impoverished schools and supplies them as well with resources to educate
  • Member of Diversity Awareness Club
  • Member of Model UN won most outspoken award at a conference
  • Starting Point Guard Varsity Basketball Junior Year (won most spirited)
  • Interned at a Lawyer’s office
  • Interned at a Dentists office
  • Proficient in Guitar (learned outside of school)
  • Project Manager for Accounting and Finance Club
  • Was part of a foreign exchange program in which I hosted someone from India
  • Voluntary work at a school in my city where I worked with younger students and helped tutor them

Here’s the thing I went through many family difficulties and my own very late diagnosis of ADHD at the end of Junior year. Since then I picked up and have a GPA around 3.8 now in school and am looking to apply ED 2 to Tufts. I also know someone at Tufts who’s senior there and friends with my father and my own father was a graduate who’s become senior at the UN. So what do you think my chances are?

Letters of Reccomendation:
My letter’s of recommendation were from my Global Politics teacher who I’ve been very strong in as a student and from my Biology teacher who marked my improvement from last year to this year as a completely different student. My college counselor will write about the extenuating circumstances and my college essays are about them too and how they made me stronger and more determined.

Bump

what is your projected IB SCORE? what do u plan to study…

Political Science will be my major, and I’m not sure as far as my IB Predicted score (first of all I don’t know it, and the second is because of some of the issues I encountered they may not be as revealing as my first semester senior grades)

I would put your chance at 50 percent. it could be improved significantly if you stress that your ADHD had beed diagnosed late and how you have picked up right after that.

good luck

Ok thank you! That’s encouraging! I wrote about it in the additional information section just as you said I should write about it. We’ll hope and pray that they accept me
