So I posted this in the Official “Chance Me” thread, but didn’t realize there was a transfer specific section. Lemme know if I should take something down/move it.
My stats -
I’m a second-year CC student. I was homeschooled and started Early College/Dual enrollment at my local CC to finish HS, then stayed at the CC to get some Gen Eds done.
My current CC GPA is 3.62. I’m currently taking 15 credits, hoping to bump that to at least a 3.68. I was going really strong, with a 3.88 until last Spring term. I had a medical emergency (ruptured brain aneurysm), and had my entire Spring term result in Bs. Since then, I’ve been struggling with juggling medical aftereffects, part-time job, full school load, and my online store.
GPA -
- Highschool/Homeschool - 3.87
- CC current - 3.62
SAT - 1210 (I’m a terrible standardized test taker, I know). Higher Reading/Writing than math.
- White
- Female
- 19 y/o
- Second gen College Student
ECs -
- Founded and operated an online business that generated over 18k monthly.
- Figure Skater (Amatuer for 2.5 years, was forced to pause training after my TBI)
- Gymnastics coach for a year, loved it
- Certified trainer at my main job, works with management
- President's Volunteer Service Award
I haven’t seen this on many Chance Me threads, but my letters of Recommendation are great. My business mentor’s letter is pretty phenomenal.
I feel decently confident in my essays.
I really REALLY want to get accepted to Babson, it’s my dream school. I applied to the Spring Transfer, didn’t get in due to some mix-ups.
I was advised to apply as a First Year by one of the Babson Advisors, but after submitting I was told that it should have been a Transfer app and then there was drama. I was in constant contact with a few Babson advisors for a while.
I have an interview scheduled in March, and I’m going to take a campus tour there. Also planning on taking a Bentley and BU tour while in Boston.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I’d love to know your thoughts
