<p>Alright so I know Bucknell is really picky but it's my number one choice. I'm doing early decision, but I want to know what my chances are like. </p>

<p>School:</p>

<p>GPA - 4.0</p>

<p>Rank - 6 out of 280</p>

<p>SAT - 2060 (reading 770, math 610, writing 680), 1380 on a 1600 scale</p>

<p>Senior Classes: AP Physics, AP English, AP European History, AP Calculus, Journalism, Anatomy and Human Physiology Honors</p>

<p>AP tests: American History - 3, Chemistry - 2 (our chem teacher sucked and didn't prepare us at all.) Also taking AP tests in each AP class I'm taking this year, but those aren't until May. </p>

<p>Intended major: Biology</p>

<p>Teacher Reccomendations - One is extremely well written by my English teacher from last year, an alumni of Bucknell. The other is very sincere from the head of the Drama Club.</p>

<p>Outside of School:</p>

<p>-Vice President of the Drama Club - participate in multiple other aspects of it (I've been in every school play, drama competitions, speech and debate, a play sponsored by the District Attorney's office...stuff like that)
-Editor in Chief of school newspaper
-Member of Varsity Swim Team
-Spanish Club
-National Honor Society
-I'm part of the local Scholastic Bowl team (it's a jeopardy-style competition)
-I volunteer at my church
-Ski Club
-I co-founded our school's improv group / club
-I worked at a local Pizzaria for two years</p>

<p>Other stuff:
-Gender: M
-Ethnicity: White (Russian, German, Polish, Irish is my heritage)
-I live right here in PA
-School doesn't really have a wonderful reputation, although my English AP teacher won a national award for his teaching skills. AP classes are difficult and the coursework is good, but a lot of the student body is less than admirable.</p>

<p>So that's about it, if there's anything I missed or anything else you would like to know that would help you chance me, please ask, and I'll provide it if I can. Like I said, I want to go to Bucknell more than any other school, so if you could tell me what my chances are it would be much appreciated. Thanks!</p>

<p>you’ll get into bucknell easy, only downfall is your SAT math but even thats not terrible for bucknell…I’ll be applying too so good luck</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m really upset about my SAT math grade, it’s not an accurate reflection of my math ability at all. For instance, I’m in AP calc this year, and my average so far is a 98…but nothing i can do about that now. oh well. Thanks for the encouragement, and good luck to you. Hopefully we’ll both be attending next year!</p>

<p>I also am familiar with Bucknell, and you look great, especially for ED.Do you plan to swim in college? They have a great pool, and if you are not recruitable, you still might be more attractive if you talk to the coach…</p>

<p>Not sure if I plan to swim in college. I’m not the best on my swim team, but I do enjoy it, so it all depends on whether or not i’d be up to the standards of the team.</p>
