chance me: caltech is my dream school

hi! i’m currently a junior (although the year is about to end) & i’ll just list my stats so you can chance me; if you can, please chance me for caltech, mit, stanford, harvard, and the ucs.

(for reference: ut dallas is my safety school, because i have assured admission there.)

gender: female
race: white
location: tx
projected major: hopefully chemistry or physics, but i’m definitely leaning towards chemistry

weighted gpa: 4.12 as of junior year, if i make a’s next year, then it’ll be around a 4.2
unweighted gpa: ~3.75

act: (without preparation) 33 composite without writing, retaking with writing in june
sat i: 1390 (didn’t do so well on this one)
sat ii: i’m set to take math 2, physics, and chemistry in august
class rank: 183 in a class of about 1400 (top 13%) as of the end of first semester

ap classes/tests taken:
ap human geography (freshman): 5
ap world history (sophomore): 4
ap european history (sophomore): 5
ap environmental science (junior)
ap english language (junior)
ap computer science (junior)
ap us history (junior)
ap french lang/culture (junior)

projected ap classes:
ap physics c (senior)
ap chemistry (senior)
ap calc bc (senior)
ap english lit (senior)
ap government (senior)
ap macro econ (senior)

extracurriculars (my weak point tbh):
tutoring students in lower years, like middle schoolers
mit ocw over the summers
i volunteered for a while teaching immigrants for their citizenship test
idk if it counts but babysitting my little sister pretty much every day after school
i taught myself guitar and ukulele
& i also taught myself html in a summer

tell me if there’s anything i’m missing! & please be brutally honest! i’m trying to improve before i apply rd next year.

Get a 35 ACT, a 1500 SAT and UW GPA of 3.9 and Caltech will be a reach like it is for everyone.

Yes, it is super competitive partly because of small class size.

Missing: an understanding of what they look for. It’s not 14 AP.

Why are AP chem and physics (your poss interests) both pushed to sr year, when you won’t show a year of work or scores? And replaced with a non rigorous sci AP and 4 soc sci courses (that’s nuts.) And no math jr year?
Are you serious?

@lookingforward sorry, i probably should have clarified!
for freshman and sophomore year, those are the only ap classes available at my school. junior year is the first you can take ap classes that are not humanities-based.
also, i’m actually taking honors precalculus for my math; it’s just not listed because i didn’t think it was necessarily important.
as for the sciences, my school doesn’t let anybody below the senior level take ap physics/chemistry/biology because of the prerequisite requirements (all three require precalculus to be done first). & especially since ap physics c must be taken concurrently with ap calculus, the only students who are allowed to take it are seniors.
