UCLA and UCB are Reach schools regardless of your qualifications and accomplishments, however you are a very competitive applicant for CS. UC’s are also test blind so your excellent ACT score will not be a consideration.
As an in-state CA applicant, your odds are definitely more in your favor for UCLA and UCB especially if your HS has a good track record in acceptances with these schools. With a 10.1% acceptance rate for UCLA and 16.8% acceptance rate for UCB (In-state applicants), there is no guarantees.
Your list is very Reachy and I see no safeties, so hopefully you have 1 or 2 safety schools on your list that you would love to attend.
You are a strong applicant everywhere but, i agree, your ap list is reach heavy - especially for CS.
I’d add UCSC, SDSU as outstanding publics that are very likely to accept you. Santa Clara, LMU an USD are privates that will probably offer merit aid and are worth an ap.
Congrats on your accomplishments! You should get into multiple schools on your list. That said, you need a sure thing for CS. You don’t need a long list of safety schools. You do need one though where admission is guaranteed and it’s certain to be affordable. I would think Riverside or Santa Cruz would fit the bill, but @Gumbymom and @ucbalumnus would know better.
