You have solid extra curriculars and great grades! All of these schools seem like good options! Keep up the good work @paige160

You are competitive. I recommend taking another SAT subject test. Focus on your essays and apply ED or EA to your favorite school. You could get accepted to any of these schools

I would take a subject test that more closely relates to your intended major, for example, English. I’m confused with the fact that your school doesn’t offer AP but you’re taking them senior year? Maybe I’m misunderstanding something…

Anyways, the fact that you raised 10k for a cause that you care about is very impressive and colleges will probably see it as the highlight of your application since it demonstrates great leadership. All in all, you are definitely a strong applicant for all those schools. Just keep in mind that schools like Upenn, Yale, Vanderbilt, etc. can reject even the most outstanding applicants, which is why they should always be reach schools.

Hi, thank you so much for the feedback. Our classes are called “AT” classes (advanced topics). They are not officially AP, but very similar. I listed them as AP simply for clarity of what level they are.

Competitive but take another subject test. I would also recommend some matches because all those schools are extremely competitive and unpredictable. Unless you would be 100% fine with going to Syracuse, apply to some more. I’m assuming you are and you just listed these schools for the chance me. Best of luck! Write some kick butt essays!

Great example of prestige vs. strength of program. Syracuse (a fine school) would be considered the least prestigious and, by far, the easiest for admissions…BUT it likely has the best Communications program of the lot (not sure if you are interested in broadcasting - you say journalism - but they are tops in that with incredible resources, connections, etc.) Also has a very good business program.

Like everyone else said, take another subject test. Ivies are a reach for pretty much everyone, but you seem to have a shot. Good luck!
