Chance me for 11th Grade?

Hey CC!
I’m currently a 10th grader at a public school applying to Exeter, Choate, and Hotchkiss for 11th grade. I was wondering what my chances were for these schools, particularly if my SAT score is good enough.

SAT: 1440 (760 Math, 680 Verbal) --I think my PSAT might be slightly higher, but I get the scores in December.

Extracurriculars:
DECA
Computer Science-made beginner apps and in AP Computer Science at school
Community Service: Teen Court, Habitat for Humanity, local senior center
Viola? (Quit but still do it outside of school)
Writer for an online publication

Rank: 2/432
I take 4 AP classes this year, and last year, I took 1 and got a 5 on the exam.

Founder and President of School’s Habitat for Humanity chapter
In the process of organizing a citywide event held at our school

Awards:
DECA District and State Champion, advanced to Internationals
Got a scholarship to complete a Android online “degree”
Bunch of awards for viola when I was in orchestra
Several academic awards at school

Also, I’m from a ORM and live in the South.

Thank you!

I think you would have a better chance if you would consider repeating 10th grade. Your rank is very impressive and I wonder why you might even consider this path since you are nearly halfway though high school.

@MAandMEmom Thank you! I wanted to apply because eventually in public school, I’m going to take courses that I don’t want to take, and I don’t want that to happen. Also, I don’t think my parents are very willing for me to repeat 10th grade since it’s a lot of money for one extra year.

Look into United World Colleges. If you are picked by the US committee, they will make it possible for you to go to a top boarding school in the US or another country with top students from around the world. It is a two-year program only, for 11th and 12th grade.
