Also would my ethnicity/nationality be treated as a hook in any way?(Wishful thinking really)

Have you considered Cate or Midland in California?

You might want to consider George School. It has IB so will make it easier for you to go to return home for college if that’s of interest. (Not that you have to!)

My kids went to Choate (2014, 2016). I think full pay Turkish male will be a hook esp if school doesn’t already have a Turk already. Choate likes to put out all the flags in front of PMAC to show where all their students hail from. So if they don’t fly the Turkish flag now, they’d sure like to. Good Luck. There are many good BS communities. Try to find the one you feel most comfortable in and where you think you can do your best.

You will need an excellent command of the English language to succeed in a rigorous US private school. Further your SSAT or ISEE will be very important to validate your grades and that you can do the work at the various schools. US private/boarding schools want students who will be a part of the fabric of the school and not just a student who is looking at the school as a stepping stone to college. I would try to match your extracurriculars to the various schools and see what you can bring to those schools besides your academics. i.e Reach out to the tennis coaches–
