Already applied to Barnard ED but just wanted to see what my likely chances are. Will be applying to Wellesley EDII soon!

-Income ~ 50k
-Not sure if this counts as first gen. but mom has an associate’s degree and dad has no degree
-Large public high school in CA
-Low-income area (school and home)

Senior year courses:
AP Psych, AP Calc BC, AP Gov., AP Lit, H. Physio and Spanish 3.
I have a very strong upward trend since sophomore year. 2 APs sophomore year, 4 APs junior year. All As second semester of sophomore year and all As junior year.

Essays/recs:
Teacher Rec #1: My English teacher. 8/10 was a great rec. Lots of great personal stuff about me and mentioned that I’m the best writer in the class.
Teacher Rec #2: Gov teacher. 8/10 Good rec. Mentioned my excellent writing and noted how hard-working I was.
Counselor Rec: Pretty sure it’ll be good. He likes me very much and has said that he’ll write me a great one.
Main essay: 8/10 I wish I could’ve made it a little better but overall I’ve been told that it has a great message and very strong writing.
Supplements: For Barnard, I think my supplements were pretty good. I wrote very passionately and I’ve been told by my teachers that they were very strong.

Extracurriculars:
-Founder of my own non-profit that helps low-income communities in LA (3 years). We made feminine hygiene care packages for homeless women and put together school items in backpacks for low-income elementary and middle school students.
-President of Unification of Disabled Latin Americans (4 years). Work with city council members of LA and other organizations to bring together communities. Empowers disabled minorities and immigrants.
-Vice President of JSA (3 years): Speech and debate. Attend regional conventions to debate and have won Best Speaker awards three times.
-Editor of school newspaper (2 years). Paper has won multiple awards and I have won a few awards for my articles as well.
-Varsity tennis (4 years.)

Summer experiences:
-Internship at LA city hall. Worked through city-level government to learn about disadvantaged communities and learned how to work with city council members to combat things like food insecurity, transportation and homelessness.
-Internship with a human rights organization for immigrants. Fought for DACA with other interns and learned how to protect undocumented immigrants through various immigration laws.

Wait you can only apply to one school ED. How do you know you will be applying EDII soon? What if you get into Barnard ED?

I will be applying EDII to Wellesley if I do not get into Barnard ED. Wellesley’s EDII deadline is on 1/1.
