I am a male hispanic junior at a prestigious public high school in Norhtern california, ranked around 120th in the nation. </p>

SAT: 1930 one sitting (640 Reading 620 Math 670 Writing) [planning on taking SAT course and increasing my score to 2100 at the very least.]</p>

Sophomore: Eng, Chemistry, Alg 2/Trig, 3D art, Spanish 3, Journalism (pre newspaper req.)

Senior (projected): Eng, Physics, AP Calc AB, AP Computer Science, Gov/Econ, Newspaper (Online Editor, Sports Editor, or Photo Editor)</p>

<p>Participated in a Gifted and Talented Eduction program, a selective, semester-long interdisciplinary research program including a trip to Point Reyes, California, 50 hours of individual research, and a final project and presentation.
(This program is very selective, I got in by way of a teacher rec. and my GPA, and was then required to apply with 300 other recommended students. It is considered highly prestigious by selective California schools and I'm almost positive it will go on my transcript as a semester long 5 credit class)</p>

<p>high match. btw, going to a “prestigous high school” doesn’t really matter, and neither does being in GATE since thats a elementary-middle school program. i would suggest that you get more volunteer hours. good luck</p>
