Chance Me for Brown, Northwestern, Berkeley

Hi Guys!

I am currently in the midst of writing college essays and I just wanted to know whether I have a realistic chance of getting into the schools that I am applying to. I am mainly applying to business/economics courses in these universities! Just want to know your opinions!

Universities: Brown, Northwestern, Berkeley, Duke, Michigan, NYU

SAT I - 2240 (breakdown: W 800 CR 720 M 720)
SAT II - 780 Math II , will take my 2nd SAT subject test (physics) in january

IB Predicted - 38/42, with 1 core point. (Level 7 in HL Econ and SL Math)

I am quite confident my recommendation letters will be good, but my EC's are not great. Sure I have quite a lot of ECs but none which are at national level which would make people go WOW.

I am an international student. (im an asian male btw)

I believe you are a competitive candidate but everything is pretty much a reach or low reach. Just write excellent essays.

@Pieguy321 I have applied to some local universities as my safeties, its because my parents wont send me abroad to the US unless its a really good university! anyways thank you for your feedback! appreciate it!

Super reach - brown,duke
Reach - NW,Berkeley
High match - michigan,nyu

since your are international and Asian male (quite competitive pool)

maybe i will swap out duke for a more targetable university. thank you for your feedback!

Berkeley application period is closed, if you haven’t already applied.
