I have applied for BU, and I really want to go there. However, I don’t think I’m “good enough” to get admitted. Please chance me!
I applied (for my major) as early childhood education
Stats:
GPA weighted: 4.0
GPA unweighted: 3.9
ACT: 25 (I know this is below BU’s standards)
Throughout high school I have taken three APs, and 5 honors class
I did take Honors Calc. I know Calc is important for BU
ECs:
Captain of the debate team
Volunteered for four years with children with special needs
Marching Band for three years
Organized March for our Lives events in NJ/road to change tour
Secretary of my school’s Jewish club
Helped start my school’s LGBTQ+ club
Essays and Recs:
My essay was extremely different about my life experience of being a religious Jew, in a public school world.
My high school is one of the most competitive and in the top 100 of this country
I have great recommendations coming from an Anatomy teacher and my debate coach/APUSH teacher.
Overall I know the main thing hurting me is my ACT score and not taking a ton of AP classes. Just hoping everything else can help me out!
Thank you so much:)
