In addition to all this, I like to think I have shown an extensive interest in Case over the past year and a half or so:

  • Visited campus in April 2016.
  • Talked with a representative at a college fair in October 2015.
  • Signed up for the mailing list (which I am fairly sure they note.) in August 2016.
  • Had an Alumni Interview, which I thought went well.
  • Contacted the admissions counselor for my area. -Have given them updates whenever I join a new extracurricular or receive an award.

This all looks great to me, I’d like to think you’ll safely get in!

Wow man. What are you worried about? After reading your stats… I am the one who should be worried! 8-X
:))

@Ege20634 I got deferred from Illinois yesterday…granted, I applied for Bioengineering as the first choice, and Business as the second, so I should have seen it coming, but it has me a bit on edge now.

@STEMGuy2323 - from what I have read, deferrals aren’t too bad. Many usually get in after a deferral. Do you have any “safe” schools to fall back on that are still ok for you?

BTW - for all of you that are doing this :-SS Its comforting or entertaining to read the Class of 2020 thread and see how things went for them when decisions started coming out. It looks like Case really looks at many aspects to evaluate applicants. Some that had high scores and high gpa’s, etc… were not admitted and others (a few only) who had lower stats did get in. It was weird for some of them. My hope is that they will love my essay and recommendations.

@Ege20634 Yeah, I already have acceptances from PSU, Pitt, Ohio State, and Drexel.

@Ege20634 Did you show interest?

Yes but not as much as you. I only applied b/c they sent emails and I said why not? I also went ahead and had them hook me up with an alumni interview (Case is about 8hrs from home). We emailed back and forth about items missing from application and other financial aid info. It took a while until I heard from the alumnus. Then she finally called and we met. What was supposed to last no longer than 20 min lasted 1 hour and a half! We had a great conversation and she sent me a copy of what she wrote to the admissions committee. After our meeting I wrote the admissions counselor for my area (who has never reached out to me) and cc’d Mr. McCoulough letting them know that the interview sealed the deal and made CWRU my first choice and that if accepted I would put down the deposit that day.

He replied thanking me for my interest. So, that was my last plug.
BTW - congrats to your other acceptances. You have some pretty good back ups. I almost applied to UPitt.

@Ege20634 I sent that type of e-mail today too. Just 20 minutes ago, actually.
