Chance me for Columbia, Cornell, and Princeton (International Applicant)

Academics:

-SAT: 2350
-SAT II: 700 Math II and 800 Physics
-GPA: UW: 3.89 (3.94 if including senior semester 1 grades)
W: 3.99 (4.1 if including senior semester 1 grades)

My grades really took a hit in first semester of junior year. Our school takes us straight from an extremely relaxed courseload in 10th grade to IB, and I had a rough adjustment period, but after that (junior semester 2 and senior semester 1) my grades are all A+'s and A’s.

ECs:

-President of Literary Magazine (I’ve started art & writing competitions for children within our school, ramped up the amount of submissions, and grew the club from 6 to 30 dedicated people)

-Volunteered to do after school arts and crafts classes for kids in our school, raised money for supplies and organized and planned everything. Expanded this into local children’s hospitals in a way and spent time with them doing crafts to help brighten their days, and further expanded this into a third world country.

-Helped with set design for student-directed plays and had a role in one.

-2 Scholastic Art & Writing regional silver pins for writing (not too impressive, I know, but maybe slightly more so since I was competing with entries from the whole world minus the US?)

-Unpaid internship in marketing research

Other:

Although I live abroad I’m an American citizen.

I’m looking to go into engineering (which isn’t reflected in my ECs, I know. I tried for local projects/ internships I could get involved in related to engineering but the work environment here, since I live in the Middle East, is toxic for women).

All reaches. SAT is outstanding but ECs and GPA are below average for those colleges
