Writing
Essay: I have been told its really good by a multitude of people, and while it focuses on my time playing the violin, it also indirectly explains my GPA.
Letters of Rec:
I have one from my AP English Language teacher from junior year who I have had freshman year and junior year for English. I am 100% confident she will write an excellent letter. I have my junior year math teacher writing my other letter of rec, and I am also confident she will write me a good letter.

I know my GPA is poor, but I have an upward trend and I think my standardized testing scores are pretty good, and I go to a top-2 school in my state that’s known for its academic rigor. Is there any way I can get into Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, or the University of Michigan?

you got a big bet , you can get in there. but make sure your essay and supplement essay stands out.

apply for it , at least try your luck, regular students get in stanford with 1480 sat,650< sat Subjects :slight_smile: try your luck

You should have heard back from Michigan EA. What was the result?

I had test scores I needed so I couldn’t apply Michigan EA. I’m applying RD for LSA.
