So based on what ive shown you what do you think? should i retake my SAT knowing cornell sees all scores? should i take any more subject tests? are my grades and stnadarized tests competitive enough?

What do plan to major in at Humec?

I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in.
DO NOT take the SAT again unless you are 120% confident that you will
improve your score. Otherwise, it looks bad and it is a waste of money.
However, Hum Ec is one of the state school part of Cornell.
Therefore, a lot of the students tend to be from NY.
Since you are out of state, Hum Ec is not going to be any cheaper than
Arts and Sciences.
And, as all state school goes, they would prefer to take in-state students.
Therefore, you have to have a very good reason for applying to HUm Ec
instead of Arts and Sciences. I was in A & S, and it offers the most diverse majors.
(I am not trying to make a plug for it or anything though, since Hum EC has
interesting interdisciplinary majors). I am just stating that you should really
think about the reasons for applying there. (They do have less core
school requirements. Arts have language requirements etc, but Hum Ec doesn’t)

thx for your response. im not that much in favor of human ecology oves A &S but it has a better acceptance rate accoriding to cornell but i did not know about the state school aspect. so r u saying i would have a better shot than A &S. I was planning on doing a biology and society major which i think fits well with my extra curricular acitivites since a couple of them have community service as a major part

If you don’t fit well into a school besides Arts and Sciences, DO NOT APPLY THERE! Apply to Arts and Sciences.

If you decide to take the SAT again I reccomend that you wait until next year. My first time I got the same score as you, but I took it again without any studying this year and got a 2250… hope this helps
