chance me for Deerfield, Choate, Philips Exeter, Andover, Taft, and Lawrenceville?

Hi! So i am currently a freshman and am planning on applying to the schools above (Deerfield, Choate, Philips Exeter, Andover, Taft, and Lawrenceville) next year, meaning if i get in i will be at one of these schools for my junior and senior year. Since i have about a year before I start the application process, I want to make sure I do everything I can to make my chances better.

I have a 3.857 gpa currently, with only one honors class
next year i will have two honors and one AP class.

My grades in 8th grade were all A's and A-'s, with the exception of one B+; the same goes for my grades in 7th grade. (I'm not sure exactly how far back they will look at my grades)

I volunteer at the local animal shelter, am on the staff of my schools literary/art magazine, participate in after school surfing (i live in hawaii), am doing a two week immersion/homestay program in paris this summer, i've been on 4 boundary waters canoe area trips (basically 2 weeks of hiking and canoeing and being fully immersed in complete wilderness). I also take piano and art classes.

I also am currently attending a very prestigious school: one with many senators, professional professional athletes, etc as graduates. My school is also the one that president Obama attended and graduated from.

I haven't taken any sort of standardized testing yet, but I will be taking the PSAT next year in October and am currently doing tutoring one a week for that.

How high are my chances for these schools? Are there any areas in which I am lacking? Please let me know! I really want to attend one of these schools (it has been a life-long dream of mine) and want to do everything I can to get accepted. Thanks guys!

Do you play any sports? You sound very well rounded and smart but alot of these schools want not only well rounded applicants but applicants who have a hook. Every student that applies to these schools is smart and well rounded but they need something in addition that will have them stand out. So what is something that makes you stand out, and that they would want in a student. As long as you have that i think you have a real shot at getting in to these schools as long as you your essays and interviews are good too!

So you’re applying for next year? And you have a great chance, but no one can tell you that for sure. Good luck! Those are some really hard schools to get into.
