8/10- I felt they worked towards Georgia tech’s core values, and other people said they were good, but I’m just not sure. They were from the heart though.

More likely 10/10-I’ve known this teacher for 4 years so I feel she will write me a good rec
I’m also an OOS student from Jersey City NJ and applied to GT early action.

@Proghck123S I think you will get in. Are you looking at U of Maryland and Purdue as well? GaTech is ranked better than those two, but if costs are an issue, Purdue offers more $10,000 per year merit based scholarships. GaTech is smaller, overall, but quite large in computer science. Its hard to win any merit at GaTech even with your strong record. See if there is a New Jersey alumni award and apply for that early. Maybe only one New Jersey admit to
GaTech can win it though, but that may vary state to state.

Here is a fun club you can join at GaTech:
https://theoryclub.github.io

HackGT is a contest in October where various companies offer three day challenges and students
form teams of 2,3 or 4 students to solve those problems. Cash prizes, and fun. Out of state students visit
GaTech for this contest.

I am really glad to see Jersey City kids have so many class and EC options. (I grew up in Dumont, but visited Hudson County a lot, where my grandparents lived ).

You seem to like robotics–
