I’m studying in an Indian school, so we don’t have a GPA out of four. Class IX and X have GPAs out of 10, and for me they are respectively 9.4 and 10.
Class XI and XII are percentages out of 100. My XIth % is 84.4% and my XIIth % is +96.4% (projected).
(In our education system, XIth is a sudden jump with extremely rigorous coursework as compared to Xth. So that’s why the grades go down for most students.) We don’t have ranking, so I’m in the top 10%
ECs
Won a lot of international, national as well as inter-school/house competitions in quizzing, debating and writing. Director of Quiz too in the school student council. Participates in cricket, carroms and chess, and have participated and won contests related to these. Have also registered generous hours of community service with regard to Medical Camps and Hospitals. Regular jogger, went in few marathons for community funds.
Major: Open to engineering in general, but opting specifically for mechanical/electrical/aeronautics-aerospace
Have applied to UC-Berkeley, GeorgiaTech, Purdue, UIUC. What are my chances in getting into these colleges? Also, what are some other colleges that I should try for with my current grades?
