Chance Me for GMU!

Hello everyone, I’m new here! I applied to GMU and I was wondering how likely I would be to get into the honors program and/or get a scholarship. Here are my stats:

Female
GPA: 4.37 W, 3.9 UW
Class Rank: 12/200
New SAT Score: 1340/1600 (Math and Reading)

-I am the Treasurer of National Honor Society, member of Math, Spanish, Science, English Honor Societies.
-Tutored students in various subjects, participated in several service projects, helped organize several schools events for NHS.
120+ hours of community service in Key Club (not counting hours from Honor Societies).
-Mentor of a group of freshmen, meet them on a monthly basis.
-Was a member of PEER for a year.
-Was a group leader for LEAP for Ghana, where we raised money to build schools and a basketball court in Ghana.
-Auditioned and accepted into a guitar governor’s school in our state for four consecutive years.
-Awarded “Best Networking” in a project for fighting child obesity. (County-wide fair)
-Volleyball manager during one season.

I thought my essays in my application was pretty good, especially my honors essay.
I want to major in Computational and Data Science.
I’m an in-state student.
Also, I have a question. I took the SAT again recently, and I’m pretty sure I’ll get in the 1380-1400 range. Can I send my score to George Mason, and will they consider it after applying?
Thanks in advance!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I got a 720 on my SAT Math Subject Test II.

Hi, I just noticed your post and if you mentioned you applied for the GMU honors, and I know admissions just released the results on Dec 15, hopefully you got your answer to what you asked above.

Hi Radeckiva, I found out I got into the honors program! We won’t find out about scholarships until around February.

Yay! Congratulations!!

@infinigirly @Radeckiva I already heard about my scholarship in December when I got my admissions decision… So not all scholarships are released in February; you just hear back at the latest in February.

Financial aid decisions for early applicants usually come in February, merit aid offers usually come with your decision
