Hi Guys !!!
I have a 93 in total on my SSAT ,a 99 on verbal, a 33 in math, and a 99 in reading.
I know my math score is not the best to say the least, but I’m hoping my other scores will balance it out
Interviews
Hill: 8/10 This was my first one so I was a little uneasy but I think I got my key points across
The Gunnery: 9/10 I loved my interviewer and our conversation flowed extremely well
Millbrook: 10/10 I think this one went great. I think the interviewer got to see me as a whole person.
In Grades I get low A’s so about average compared to others
I am very active in my church youth group where we do community service and fun events like lock-ins and retreats. I emphasized in my interviews how the close knit atmosphere we have in the group is what I hope to have at BS.
I have done a few plays at church and school but acting isn’t something I’m big on
I won a high profile journalism award which I can’t tell you specifically about because it would literally give away my identity. Let’s just say it is a key factor in my application and I believe if anything that’s the one thing that will get me in
Other than that I am hoping to do a great job on my essays.
Based on this limited information how are my chances. Please be honest. I have been a lurker on the forum since July and I just decided to create an account because I am literally falling apart from anxiety. I don’t know how I’ll go on until M10 !!!
I forgot to mention that I’ll need 75% FA
And I’m applying for 9th grade
Your Vocabulary/Reading is really impressive.I think your chances are pretty good. I was at Hill and loved it.
Thank you bantonov !!!
You are very impressive! I know Millbrook well and you are a very strong candidate for them. They do offer financial aid, particularly to kids above their average stats, which you are. Best of luck!
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I really love Millbrook so that’s great to hear !
Good luck with your applications.Tests scores are not the only thing. I hope the rest of your application is impressive too. And Interview…so important!
Yes. I understand that even if one part of your application is stellar and the other pieces are lacking it’s not a good impression. They really want to see someone who is consistent in all areas.
