Chance me for GW class of 2021

Hi! So GW is my top choice but I’m still not sure about applying ED because of my financial situation. However, I would like to chanced. I go to a magnet school that concentrates in law enforcement (law studies, homeland security, and forensic science) and I’m in the Law Studies Academy. I have also been doing Dual Enrollment since the summer after 9th grade, and will be graduating with an AA in Pre-Law (major my school offers for my academy).

Certification:
My school offers a certification for members of the law academy. This certification, Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) is offered by NAL…the association for legal professionals. I passed my certification exam in 11th grade at the age of 16.

Extra-curriculars:
Community Service
-740+ hours
I completed about 660 of the hours volunteering at an organization that offers recreational therapy for kids on the Autism Spectrum, I worked as a counselor at the camps they offered whenever school was out (Summer, Spring, Winter, and teacher planning days)
The other ~80 hours I volunteered at school doing tutoring, participating in club and school community service events, and helping office staff with paperwork.

School Clubs:

Sorry I forgot to add, for one of my recommenders I have a GW Alumni who is a retired Judge, he is on the advisory board of my school, and actively helped me in my preparation to take my ALP certification test.

While nothing is guaranteed, GW will be a target school for you, and you are very likely to get in. Good luck.

@hopefulfso you have a good chance to get in. But like you said the financial part will be an issue, especially binding ED decision, where they will hardly give you anything. Unless you have a tuition remission I think you should do Regular Decision, you will still have a good chance and you will receive a much better financial package.
