Chance me for Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Brown

Hi, I’m a senior this year and am considering applying to some ivies (don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of safeties).

STATS:
2330 single sitting (800W 780R 750M) 2350 superscore (800W 800R 750M)
3.89UW/4.25WGPA
800 SAT BIO 800 SAT LIT
5 on AP Bio and 5 on AP Art History

ECs: (pretty much everything is related to Red Cross lol)
American Red Cross Youth Executive Board International Services Coordinator
ARC Youth Representative to the Bay Area Board of Directors
American Red Cross Youth staff for a camp
Lots of general volunteering
9.5/10 teacher recommendations and a great supplemental rec.
Hooks: Raised by a single parent, URM (latino), legacy at Yale

So I have two questions:

How much of a chance do I have at the listed schools?

Should I apply early to Harvard or Yale? I’ve heard that Harvard has a strong preference for minorities in Early Action, but I have legacy at Yale. Don’t know how much that factors in.

Thanks!

Since you are going for the absolute best, then I give myself the right to scrutinize you a little!?
What classes lowered your GPA to 3.89 and what grades you got in them?
How rigrious was your coursework? The reason I am asking is because your W GPA is only 4.25 and you are only showing 2 APs here?
Also why your Subject tests nor the 2 APs include any tough and competitive subject?
All those questions need to have convincing answers before you can pass the first level of screening for, at least, the first two schools in your list.

@uclaparent9

The grades that lowered my GPA were: B’s in two semesters of geometry, one semester of Algebra 2, and one semester of Precalculus. The rest of my grades are all A’s.

I took honors chemistry sophomore year, AP Bio, AP Art History, and Honors Anatomy and Phys. junior year. Senior year I am taking AP Spanish, AP Gov, AP Lang, and AP Economics.

I don’t really understand your third question. Lit is one of the toughest subject tests, and biology isn’t a joke either. AP Bio and Art History have one of the lowest number of fives.

I guess you do not like to hear about Math (to be a tough subject), as your own grades demonstrate that plenty…and where you showed also weekness (like for most other kids). You tried to avoid that wherever was possible and convenient. That will not go unnoticed to atcoms at those tough schools. But to be fair to you, I agree that taking bio is not a piece of cake either.
