Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes

Due to the fact that im a sophomore, i will most prossibly keep doing those things. I know that without test scores you cant chance me, but you can tell me if im in the right direction or note something. Any comments will be helpful. Please dont tell me bout fincancial aid, i know how hard it will be i just need solid opinions on my stats.
Thank you all in advance!

Your current grades and ECs are fine. Keep up the hard work. Sounds like you are already aware of the uphill battle for US admission needing aid, so keep being grounded in your expectations.

Looking forward, I’d think your prospects would be good for attending an excellent U.S. college, even with your need for financial aid considered. Are you seeking specific college suggestions? If so, are you potentially interested more in core STEM fields (e.g., physics, chemistry, geosciences, biology, math) or engineering?

@merc81 Specific suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated! Im more interested in math and engineering but I have not decided yet.

If you were to start with your interest in math, you could research colleges included in a Princeton Review sampling, “Great Schools for Mathematics Majors”:

Harvey Mudd
MIT
UChicago
Caltech
Haverford
Harvard
Hamilton
Bowdoin
Reed
Rice
Carleton
Grinnell
Macalester
Bryn Mawr
URochester

These colleges tend to offer the additional benefit of being very well funded with respect to financial aid. Not all offer direct engineering programs, though, so you would want to consider this as you further develop your academic interests.

Thank you so much, that was extremely helpful!

When my son was 3, he’d sometimes ask me the same question over and over and over again. For a while, I’d patiently answer each and every time. After a while, it grew frustrating that he’d ask the exact same thing multiple times, so I asked him why he asked the same question over and over and over again. He shrugged and said “I don’t believe you.”

Guess he was hoping to get a different answer.

You have asked the same question multiple times over a short period of time. What exactly are you hoping to hear?

@milee30 I’m hoping to hear opinions from more people, in order to have more realistic expectations
