chance me for LACs (& some others) please

Chance Me / Match Me!

<p>Hi all, </p>

<p>I have been perusing this site for a while. Now that I am a senior I thought I would try out this "chance me" thing because my academic performance has been kind of wavering. Anyways, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know whether I am aiming much too high (especially with my ED) or if I at least have a shot. Thank you so much! </p>

<p>COLLEGES
-Brown University (ED)
-Wesleyan University
-Middlebury College
-Vassar College
-Haverford College
-UChicago
-Northwestern
-Georgetown</p>

<p>ACADEMIC STUFF
-I go to an American, private school in Hong Kong
-3.5 cumulative GPA (UW)— this is where I think my biggest weakness lies, I got a 3.15 my freshman year (I moved from suburbia to Hong Kong), but I managed a little over a 3.6 for the next two years
-honors classes (except regular physics in Junior year)
-Junior year: APUSH (5), AP French (4), AP Lang&Comp (5— self-studied)
-Senior year: AP Econ, AP Lit, AP Calc AB
-I'm also pursuing an independent study in Metafiction this semester </p>

<p>SATs
-SAT 1: 2320 (800 CR, 770 M, 750 W)
-SAT 2: 770 (US History), 750 (Math 2)
-I'm taking Lit in October too</p>

<p>E.C.s
-Forensics Speech Team (4 years, President Junior year, Senior Advisor this year)
-Cultural Magazine (3 years, section editor 2 years)
-School Newspaper (3 years, section editor this year)
-Writing Center tutor (2 years)
-MUN (4 years)
-Jazz Band (4 years)</p>

<p>BITS&BOBS
-I am an Indian who has lived in Europe, the US, and Asia (so I have that whole "global citizen" thing)
-most of my essays will probably be on communication and creativity (because that is what I am interested in)</p>

<p>Brown, Northwestern, and Georgetown may be tough, I’d say you have a fair shot at the others though</p>

<p>All of the schools you listed are very competitive.</p>

<p>The SAT is very strong but the GPA is not. I’d say you should probably view tour chances as follows:</p>

<p>Brown - Reach
U Chicago - Reach
Northwestern - Low Reach
Georgetown - High Match
LACs (those listed) - High Match</p>

<p>If you can improve your GPA this,semester, that would help.</p>

<p>You need more matches for sure. Try the search tool on this site to find a few options that appeal to you, and then maybe people can give better feedback.</p>
