this is my hypothetical/likely scenario:
anthropology major, chemistry minor at UCSD
1 year general physics, 1 year chem, organic chemistry and o chem labs, calc 1, calc 2, statistics, 1 year gen bio
3.8 science gpa, 3.9 major gpa. i worked in behavioral research, volunteered, and shadowed doctors
MCAT is 32
oh, and i am caucasian male.

Would i get into any US medical schools in your opinion? I am worried because i have not taken biochem, physiology, or any upper division bios.

No worries on the grades, race, sex and the courses you haven’t taken. However, medical school admission is much more than grades and ECs. You need a strong essay and letters of recommendation. Also, what is your state of residence? You have an advantage applying to an in-state public school than being an OOS applicant. Your credentials look promising so far.

With medical school as long as you to the prerequisites that they want you can major in any other field. Some people my major in business or engineering but still get accepted in. Medical schools actually look for that kind of diversity in majors. Grades ARE important (to get into a really good medical school) as for race and sex it doesn’t matter. As she said above excellent essay and recommendation letters help alot.
