Chance me for Middlebury?

Current H.S. Junior

SAT 1590 (first and only time sitting for exam)
(Have not taken SAT II tests yet)

Unweighted GPA in core classes: 3.94

Super competitive private school.

School does not calculate class rank, with the exception of award for finishing a year with the highest academic standing in each grade. I’ve received this award a few times. Very likely to graduate top 3 in my class of 140.

Heavy course load with advanced core classes and no fluff. Planning same for senior year. Since I’ve already completed 4 years of a foreign language, I may replace foreign language next year with an additional advanced science class (unless you guys jump on me and tell me it’s a terrible idea).

ECs: Nationally-ranked athlete for last 5 years, including winning 4 national titles; plus other ECs that are likely run-of-the-mill for highly selective colleges–tons of community service; model UN, debate; school paper; founded new school club for additional academic enrichment; student tutoring; intensive 10-week bio-research internship at university for upcoming summer.

Demographic: Female, caucasian, south central region of U.S.

My school’s former college counselor used to be the Dean of Admissions at Middlebury for a number of years and encouraged me to strongly consider it. I’m in the midst of college visits and tours, but would really love it if you guys would chance me.

It appears that you would be able to select Middlebury without inordinate concern as to whether they would select you as well. For full consideration, however, your application might benefit from an expression of sincere, demonstrated interest.

Additional information on ECs: (to the extent that it is helpful at all)

Multi-year internship with print magazine since the age of 13 (through which I’ve published several articles and sports photographs; co-managed the magazine’s social media account; triaged the internship applications for the editor’s final review; managed requests for the issuance of media credentials; led teams of contributors for group-written articles).

I’m not sure I should list it. Does anyone here think it is intriguing or adds anything?
