Thank You in Advance!

What do you plan to major in?

How do you plan to let colleges know the tournaments you won in public forum debate, by the way, i also do pf, i love it so good job, lol!

I would like to major in Computer Science

I think you have a good shot at Gtech and Rice, but Stanford and MIT are most likely reaches.

Your record is quite strong, but as you know, a couple of those schools, as @studyhard13 points out, are reaches for everybody.

Make sure you’re prepared for the PSAT in October as that will determine NMF (your sophomore scores are good, so you shouldn’t worry too much. Have you tried the ACT?)

You might want to try to get into a couple of prestigious summer programs for rising seniors next summer (RSI, TASP, Governor’s School, etc. - you can just search “prestigious summer programs” here on CC and avoid the “pay to play” ones - you’re looking for the ones that are free or nearly free). You also might want to apply to the Coolidge Foundation Scholarship – a full ride to any 4-year college or university; the just started offering it this year. With your debate background and your academics, you might have a shot. Most of the applications for summer programs and scholarships are due anywhere between Jan. and March.
