Chance me for Notre Dame please! (Regular Decision) Thanks in advance!

Hi, please roughly state how likely it is for me to get into Notre Dame for Regular Decision. Thanks! I really appreciate it.

Unweighted GPA- 3.91 (I took mostly CPs freshman year, but from sophomore to senior year I only took honors and APs)
SAT I: 680 CR, 740 M, 720 W = 2140 Total (All in one sitting)
Ranking: 37/559 (Top 10%)

LOR- 1 biology teacher, 1 counselor, assuming they are both really good
Writing Supplement- I would say 10/10 for the general one for all applicants, 10/10 for the “what question” one, and 9/10 for “how are you incomplete”

Other info:
State: PA
Ethnicity: Asian
Intended Major: I put Environmental Science for College of Science.

Music Supplement: I submitted an arts portfolio to be considered as part of my application. I submitted a music (piano) supplement with two performances: Nocturne in C Sharp Minor by Frederic Chopin, and Transcendental Etude No. 10 by Franz Liszt.

By the way, I am NOT Catholic

I think your chances for Notre Dame are pretty good. With a 3.91 unweighted GPA it’s surprising your class rank is not a little higher. Not being catholic should not be a problem. Very well rounded EC’s (athletics, music, other clubs) but not a lot of leadership positions, D is a freshman at ND this year. An even stronger SAT score or essays that clearly communicate your love for ND would help. 2140 is a very good SAT score but the applicant pool to ND has crazy high ACT/SAT scores

@Wje9164be Thanks for your response! And about the class rank, a lot of people in my school (including me) think our weighting system is messed up, because people who take college prep classes and get A’s in them are better off in terms of class rank than people who take honors classes and get B+'s in them. It’s kind of messed up, but that’s why a lot of people who take AP/honors are at a disadvantage in class rank even though their classes are harder.

I think that your chances are pretty solid - about 2 in 3. While your SAT scores are in about the 25th percentile, the math score is quite high (which is what matters for a sci major), your grades are slightly above average, and you demonstrate a lot of commitment and accomplishment through track and piano. Also, if your supplements are as good as you say they are, that’s going to significantly boost your chances.

Would you mind chancing me, as well? Best of luck - Go Irish!
