Hello! I am currently a high school senior and I was wondering if you could chance me for these schools and tell me how much you think they’ll give me in financial aid, scholarships and grants!

UW: 92.66/100 (approx. 3.67/4)
W: 93.11/100 (approx. 3.72/4)

SAT Scores:
1270 (640 Reading, 630 Math)
(Took it again this past weekend and still waiting for results but I believe I got around a 1350-1450)

I lived in Africa for two years when I was in middle school, and that may have not been as recent as high school but I remember all of it and it had a significant impact on my life.

try to bring up ur SAT scores to a mid 1300-1400. UW GPA seems decent for the colleges. chance me?

Have you considered trying the ACT? Some do significantly better on one test over the other, and schools will not care which one.

My parents don’t believe the ACT is an actual test and they won’t let me take it. Idk why but there’s nothing I can do about it

Honestly, I think NYU is a bit of a reach unless you get a 1450… otherwise I think you have a great chance in the other schools… All the Best!

^^^ Please try your hardest to convince your parents. First time I took the SAT I got a 1280, first time I took the ACT I got a 30 (about a 1400 on the SAT). It is definitely worth it to try both.

A 1270 SAT would make all of those schools reaches.

What is your latest SAT score? You should get it back by now.

Unfortunately I did worse than my 1270, and both sections were lower than my first so I’m just sending the 1270 :confused:

ok so your SAT is kindov whats bringing you down your gap is on the highish end BUT you have a great list of EC’s and the living in Africa thing is interesting and it could give you somewhat of a unique edge so thats something you could maybe talk about in your personal essay and set you apart from the rest of the application pool so I wouldn’t worry too much about your SAT because you got these other outside of the testing room activities going on , also having a perfect 4.0 GPA is cool and all but if one just took on level classes to protect their GPA thats something that colleges see, yes they want the best possible group of students to attend but, the whole point is to challenge yourself and learn so they will see that you took more rigorous courses and take that into account which will possibly give you some brownie points in the GPA area of things. My dream school is UM so thats the one I know the most about and Id say you’ve got a pretty good chance of admission and possibly a scholarship. If you could chance me back that’d be great.
