I want to go into business and NYU is my dream school but you have to be in Stern to be a business major and idk if I’m good enough heres some of my info.
SAT first try: 1350 (R:650 M:700)
SAT second try: 1350 (R: 710 M:640)
Superscore: 1410 (R: 710 M:700)
9th grade gpa: 3.15
10th grade gpa: 3.65
11th grade gpa: 3.75
12th grade 1st semester: 4.30
My cumulative is a 3.5 not including senior year but if they look at my grades so far this year will that help enough? Its gone up a lot over the past 4 years and my school is one of the top schools in my area.
I have a lot of ecs and work experience but my main ones are the cross country team, being head of my school’s drama costume department, the swim team, publicist for my school’s recycling club, Thesbian Honor society, Music honor society (Im second chair cello in my school’s top orchestra), Students against Destructive Decisions Club, Students for Social Justice club, a Habitat for humanity summer program I did for 4 years, and Ive had 2 jobs (one for a year at a drive-thru and one that Ive had for 3 months so far at a really nice restaurant)
There are other random stuff Im in but those are the important ones.
My rec letters should be pretty good but I only have two. One from one of teachers who really likes me and another from my consular who happens to be a family friend who really likes me.
Ive taken 9 aps and Ive passed 3/5 tests so far with two 4s and a 3 (and got two 2s but I’m not gonna mention those) the other 4 aps I’m taking this year.
I dont know if there’s much more about me, I’m a white female and the female part will help but probably not being white lol. My family has middle income and I would need good financial aid to be able to attend. My 1410 on the SAT is a bit low for Stern I know and I’m not sure how they will interpret my gpa but I’m still trying to be hopeful!! If I get into CAS could I do well my freshmen year and transfer into Stern? I wouldnt mind being an economics major too much but I’d much rather be in business is there any hope for me in stern or are my hopes too high?
