Hi :) I am a Chinese student applying to NYU Stern this year and am unsure about my chances of getting in. Right now, my

GPA: 3.6 UW
SAT: 2290 (800 Math, 790 Writing, 700 Reading)
SAT II: 760 Math II, 710 Literature

Althought my GPA is a bit sub-par for this school (I believe), I may be able to make up for it in extra curriculars. My extracurriculars include:

-2 year FBLA School President
-2 time FBLA National Qualifier, 3rd place at states both times
-2 year Track and Field National Elite
-2 year Quiz Bowl/Academic Challenge Varsity
-3 year Volunteer at my local nursing home
-3 year small group/church youth group leader
-4 year pianist
-4 year saxophone player
-4 year Math Club Varsity/Treasurer
-4 year top athlete and attendee of a local Chinese School

It’s a match for you
By the way, if you want to know your decision earlier, then you can go on Albert, select Financial aid and look under select aid year to review. If it is Award access not available, you are in. If it is there is no financial aid information found, then they did not change it yet or you are rejected.

^is that actually true? Can anyone else confirm this? I’m not sure if NYU would make a mistake (at least in my opinion, they’re releasing potential information before the release date) so trivial? :O
