I was a director of the summer reading program at the local library. I fostered and promoted literacy in elementary school children.

Dear concretepencil94 : Your second SAT (2100), SAT II scores, and AP course load are quite competitive and constitute a fit with Boston College admissions criteria. Your extra curriculars are defined by titles (which demonstrates leadership to some extent) however the impact of these roles is completely unclear; in other words, what difference did any of these elements make in the community?

In terms of the Arts/Music, you should strive to demonstrate that discipline which is mentioned only in passing with the Tri-M and National Piano auditions.

There is a complete lack of sports/team engagement here which will make it more difficult for you to demonstrate school spirit and connection to your High School environment; the import of your titled club positions from an impact perspective will be therefore heightened.

After a four year High school career, it is unclear why a 50 hour volunteerism task (effectively one week from four years) should be a major bullet item here; perhaps there is some deeper impact here than you have shared with those of us reading this profile?

In closing, the numbers are fine, the extra curriculars feel slightly soft (although additional explanation should help), and your essay topic is undefined. What we see seems fine, but there is more that needs to be disclosed.
