What schools should I apply to for RD?
Chances at Vanderbilt, Northwestern, WashU, Tufts, and NYU?
Thank you so much and really needed help!
Vandy and Northwestern will be difficult/Just make sure to write extremely good essays. Make sure you show interest in WashU and Tufts (request interviews for both) and write a good supplement for Tufts (this will make or break your application with your profile). And for NYU, if you don’t do Stern you should be shoe-in.
@Dawala282 Thank you for your time! I am fully aware that no schools will be easy from this point on. I will try to put the best effort on my essays and hopefully I will get in somewhere. Any other schools that you would recommend according to my profile?
I would say try to focus your extracurricular activities on your app into one academic area, preferably the one that you seek to major in. Your events, though good, look a little scattered right now. Otherwise, you got great stats (GPA and scores) for all your schools and you shouldn’t worry about those. Essays and extracurricular activities will determine where you get in right now.
Emory, Case Western, and maybe Rice?
@Hamurtle Thank you! Already applied to Emory and Case Western. Will be hearing from Case soon!
Your numbers look good for WashU should you decide to apply. Low reach right now. They do like demonstrated interest.
@Hamurtle Would it be too late to visit in winter, after I applied?
I don’t think so, although school doesn’t start up until the Tuesday after MLK Day. I don’t know if there are tours during winter break. You might want to call the WUSTL admissions office.
And if possible request an interview now as well.
@Hamurtle thnx so much and I will look into that. Just got accepted by safety school!!
